Our Story

Much like an acorn, from humble beginnings 19 years ago, our little Oak Fair celebrating oak, timber, woodland, conservation and the Dorset countryside has grown into something much bigger, while our ethos remains just the same as it did in our first year. We now welcome over 200 exhibitors to our show and have an action packed arena with some amazing shows and demonstrations.

What Makes Us Special?

The Oak Fair is a totally unique event in rural Dorset. We are a family run estate & event and there is nothing corporate about us. One of the main reasons we are so special is of course our skilled and talented demonstrators and exhibitors who come from near and far to celebrate traditional crafts & skills with us. From demonstrations of surfboard making to have-a-go archery, there is something for everyone at the Oak Fair.

What Our Visitors Say

A great day out for all the family. The local and sustainable crafts on display were gorgeous to look at. There's a fantastic selection of food and drinks at reasonable prices, and some really interesting and fun displays in the two arenas. We really enjoyed our day out!
