Our Story

Much like an acorn, from humble beginnings 18 years ago, our little Oak Fair celebrating oak, timber, woodland, conservation and the Dorset countryside has grown into something much bigger, while our ethos remains just the same as it did in our first year. We now welcome over 200 exhibitors to our show and have an action packed arena with some amazing shows and demonstrations.

What Makes Us Special?

The Oak Fair is  a totally unique event in rural Dorset. We are a family run estate & event and there is nothing corporate about us. One of the main reasons we are so special is of course our demonstrators and exhibitors who come from near and far to celebrate traditional crafts & skills with us. There is something for everyone at the fair.

As well as our activities and our big demonstrations we have a designated kids area.

Just love everything about it, and it is a great atmosphere there and such talented crafts people too. It is also run well and when l got in trouble with my powered wheelchair one year, l was really looked after as well and got my chair charged up too. It seems nothing is too much trouble for those that run this event. I love it and always recommend it to all my friends.
